Installation:

It can be fixed with 3M tape or Sikaflex glue (Note: 3M VHB tape and silicone need to be purchased by yourself!). We highly recommend install the solar panel with our specific vinyl decal, the vinyl decal sits under the solar panel and protects the hood paint. The vinyl decal installs on the hood in the same way that traditional hood vinyls or automotive vinyl stickers are applied.

The installation must be done in a dry environment between 18° and 35°C (64° and 95°F). In cold conditions, the solar panel will not have enough flexibility to form to your hood, and the adhesive will not properly bond.

Solid, Good Looking Sliders

Sliders are top quality, and install was fairly simple. I would highly recommend purchasing a quality rivet nut tool though. The tool that comes in the kit became damaged during install and caused one of the rivet nuts to spin and the tool got stuck, and I (thankfully) was able to use vice grips to get enough purchase on the top of the nut to get the tool removed. Also, when I purchased an actual tool, it sped up the install time by a factor of about 3.

Aside from that one hiccup with the included tool, everything was great! Bolts all lined up with a little love from some vice grips. I think they are the best looking Subaru sliders on the market , and they are super solid. I would purchase these again in a heartbeat.

Additionally, Adventure Rig Shop was very prompt in replying to all my questions and emails leading up to this purchase. Quality customer service. Highly recommended!

Specifically for 6th Gen

This is a solid built product but the small differences between the 5th gen outback and the 6th gen is just enough that it won't fit the 5th gen Outback. I modified a few parts to have a better fitment but at the end of the day it wasn't going to work out. Was thoroughly excited to have a practical storage shelf in my rig, but thats ok. The team at Adventure Rig were very helpful in delaing with this issue and helped issue a refund and would hope they can make a storage shelf for the 5th Gen Outback or more items for the 5th Gen.

Arrived malformed, no help or replacement

Ordered this along with my brush-bar. Decent quality except one part was mal-formed when created (the spot for the nut capture was dented in prior to powder-coating). I emailed them to ask for a replacement. They said sure. I've emailed them now a bunch of times, never got my replacement. So my lights are sitting in a damn box. And I'll be damned if I send them more money for another potentially useless bracket.
